Artists use quilts to express messages, experiences, emotions and more through their work at the Art Quilt Exhibit “Textile Messaging” opening Friday, Feb. 1 at the Branigan Cultural Center.

The quilt exhibit offers 14 New Mexico Art Quilters the opportunity to showcase quilts offering a glimpse into their thoughts, experiences, and emotions.

“Whether the work is representational or abstract, the use of color, shape, line, texture, embellishments, and fabric allows each artist to express their inner world with these creative and original art quilts,” said Garland Courts, museum manager.
